IMAGINON - CHILDREN'S THEATRE OF CHARLOTTE

WELLS FARGO PLAYHOUSE

Charlotte, North Carolina

This 250-seat thrust stage was built by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library in the ImaginOn complex for Children's Theatre of Charlotte, a nearly 75 year old institution. The space is designed to be intimate in scale, to accommodate younger audiences, and create a sense of connection to the stage.

The 100,000 square foot center also contains a larger 570-seat drama theatre and a children's library.

The complex holds the distinction of being one of the first performing arts buildings to achieve LEED Silver status upon it's opening in 2005.

Benton Delinger and Michael Ferguson performed theatre consulting services as individual effort while at a previous firm.
