SOLVANG FESTIVAL THEATRE RENOVATION
SOLVANG FESTIVAL THEATRE
Solvang, California
The renovation of the 700-seat Solvang Festival Theater is a project to provide a new back wall, and long-awaited improved new lighting towers to this summer focused outdoor venue located in the tourist destination of Solvang, California.
Originally openening in 1974, the theatre was built in 58 days by a group of dedicated local business people, determined to create a tourist attraction, and a venue for the Pacific Conservatory Theatre, a professional theatre and training organization located in nearby Santa Maria.
The theatre is used by Pacific Conservatory Theatre during the summers to state musicals and plays, and the rest of the year the facility hosts music events, and other performances.
Working for Solvang Theaterfest, TheatreDNA provided a feasibility study and conducted the architect selection process, followed by providing full theatre planning, theatre design, and performance equipment design and specification.
