FESTIVAL PARK AMPHITHEATRE

PERFORMANCE PAVILION

Fayetteville, North Carolina

Built for the city of Fayetteville, North Carolina, this 14 acre park provides the city's thriving arts community with a much-needed performance space.

The clever stage design includes a sliding backdrop that conceals the functionality of the dressing rooms and production support spaces immediately behind the stage, while providing the audience views of the local flora surrounding the structure.

The park's unique triangular shape was created out of necessity, as there were pre-existing rail lines, roads, and even a creek, defining the borders of the project.

Michael Ferguson provided theatre planning, theatre design, and performance equipment design and specification as individual effort while at a previous firm.
